INTERNATIONAL HEALTH REGULATIONS (2005)
The revised International Health Regulations (2005) (IHR 2005) were adopted by the 58th World Health Assembly in May 2005, and entered into force in June 2007. The IHR are the only legislative instrument designed to facilitate international cooperation during 'public health emergencies of international concern' such as disease outbreaks with transborder potential.
My research primarily focuses on enhancing compliance with the norms (standards of behaviour) enshrined within the revised IHR 2005.
