A regional consultation organised by the Wellcome Trust, Global Health Network & Fiorcruz
In mid-June I had the privilege of being able to travel to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, for the first time to participate in a regional consultation examining reservoirs and disease transmission dynamics of infectious diseases. The meeting provided an opportunity to hear the results of global survey coordinated by the Wellcome Trust and Global Health Network, and to help identify key priorities for the immediate future for how we can prevent future adverse disease events, epidemics, and pandemics.
